This course will help you understand and gradually tap into the transformative power of your own mind. More specifically, we will explore:
- What is our mind?
- What are the levels and types of mind?
- Where do negative emotions come from?
- How do I cultivate peaceful, positive states of mind?
- What is the role of meditation in Buddhist Psychology?
This course will serve as an introduction to Buddhist Psychology and meditation, and will also be a great opportunity to learn how to use the book ‘How to Understand the Mind’ by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Follow-up Course on Monday Nights
(This Saturday 1/2 day course will be followed by a 6-week Monday Evening Course with Gen Kelsang Rigpa, April 26-May 31, 7:30-9pm, where we will have a chance to review, and go deeper into these various aspects of Buddhist psychology and meditation.)
