Death & Dying: A Buddhist Perspective on Life and Death

With East Asia National Spiritual Director and Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Tonglam

We are delighted to offer a livestream course focused death and dying from a Buddhist perspective. The morning event will focus on Buddhist psychology and philosophy about death and dying as well as practical tips that integrate easily into modern life. The afternoon session will focus on more traditional Buddhist ritual practices performed for those who have died.

SCHEDULE

Session 1: 10-11:15am
Session 2: 12-1:15pm
Powa Teachings and Practice: 2:30pm-4:00pm

The practice of Powa is a method whereby we can transfer the consciousness of those who have recently died, or our own consciousness, to a pure land. Powa practice explains clearly how we can face our own death, and how we can help those who are dying. This is one of the kindest things we can do for ourself and for others.
