Everyone is welcome to join us in this joyful walk with friends to promote world peace!
The Purpose
The Walk for World Peace is a fundraiser for the Center and for the International Temples Project. We raise money by letting friends and family know we’re walking for world peace, and encouraging them to donate.
The Day of the Walk
9:30am: KMC LA doors open for registration. We’ll give you a few minutes to put on your brand new t-shirt—this year’s design to be unveiled at the Walk!
10:00am: Gen Rigpa will guide us in a meditation to set our intention for the Walk.
10:30am: We’ll head north through the lovely Los Feliz neighborhood, on our 1.3 mile walk to Griffith Park
11:30am: We’ll end our walk in Fern Dell Park, Griffith Park, for a vegetarian picnic lunch
If it sounds like fun, that’s because it is! (We know. We do this every year!)
How Friends & Family can Donate
You can use the time up until the walk to gather pledges to sponsor your walk. Donations are tax-deductible. Donating is easy using one of these two ways – when you register we’ll send you the specifics on how to easily set up each method.
